JamJamma 2
After the rite of passage from the previous game, JamJamma is attacked by GumGumma, a member of their people who's allied to the invasors. Defeat bosses, obtain new abilities and explore the world to access new areas of the map in order to return home in this action boss-rush in pixel art.
JamJamma 2: Gumgumma’s Trial delivers a challenging action experience in a 2D pixel-art platformer boss rush. After proving themselves worthy of earning their own Skull, JamJamma must return home, crossing hostile environments and encountering new creatures that test their combat skills. To make matters worse, GumGumma appears, seeking to stop them from returning and urging them to abandon the ways of their people.
The power of your enemy becomes your path
You will face one boss after another, with no regular enemies, and each victory grants you a new ability that unlocks fresh paths for exploration and access to new bosses, creating a cycle of ever-growing challenges until you reach the final boss behind this trial.
When you die, enjoy the scenery
(But if you’re a true maniac, push forward without dying.)
JamJamma 2 is not a roguelike, but a traditional experience with a beginning, middle, and end. New abilities, power-ups, and checkpoints will be your main tools throughout this solitary journey. We love challenging games — and newcomers to the genre will probably die a few times. As you return to the last checkpoint and retrace familiar territory or reconsider your choices through a new route, take a moment to appreciate the distinctive pixel-art environments. Frustration can be eased with a brief stroll through our forests, deserts, caves…
And if you’re a real Maniac, get ready for a mode with limited lives and no continues, where you must beat the game in a single run. Do you accept the challenge?
BAMMA! Philosophy: Anyone can be a Maniac
We are BAMMA!, a Brazilian studio passionate about challenging retro games, but accessibility lies at the heart of our game design philosophy. That’s why our slogan says: “Anyone can be a maniac!”
Alongside the more challenging mode, we also offer different features for players looking for a friendlier learning curve and a gateway into the genre, with options such as adjustable game speed, high-contrast mode, and more. Who knows — maybe this will be your first time overcoming a challenge you once thought was beyond your reach?
