When the Day Comes is a brutal top-down online survival game where daylight is your greatest enemy. Build, craft, scavenge, fight zombies and hostile players, expand your settlement, and survive in an endless procedurally generated world where every day could be your last

WHEN THE DAY COMES

When will that day come?

No one remembers anymore how much time has passed since a mysterious alien asteroid struck Earth.

At first, it seemed like just another disaster. Then an unknown virus appeared. Cities descended into chaos, millions of people vanished in just a few weeks, and the world as we knew it ceased to exist.

But that wasn’t the scariest part at all.

The sun stopped rising.

Now Earth lives in endless darkness, thick fog, and ceaseless rain. A real day has become such a rare occurrence that many consider it a beautiful legend of the past.

No one knows anymore...

Whether it will ever come at all.

That is exactly why the game is called When the Day Comes.

Welcome to a world that no longer belongs to humans

When the Day Comes is a hardcore top-down multiplayer survival game that combines exploration of a vast procedurally generated world, settlement building, technological advancement, intense co-op, PvP, research, and the fight for humanity’s future.

Every new playthrough generates a completely new map.

New cities.

New roads.

New villages.

New military bases.

New hospitals.

New stories.

Here, it’s impossible to memorize the map.

It’s impossible to remember the locations of resources.

It’s impossible to know in advance what awaits you around the next corner.

Every world is unique.

Every playthrough becomes a new story.

The First Few Minutes After You Start

You wake up in a completely unfamiliar house.

There’s no electricity.

There’s no cell service.

Outside the window, the night is pitch-black.

In the kitchen, you manage to find a half-empty can of food, an old kitchen knife, and a candle that’s almost burned out.

You light it.

The room fills with soft light.

For the first time, you feel a little calmer.

But not for long.

A dull thud is heard from somewhere outside.

Then another one.

Someone...

Or something...

Already knows there’s life inside the house.

This is where the real struggle for survival begins.

Every item matters

In the world of When the Day Comes, there are practically no useless items.

Over 300 different items could one day save your life.

A hammer will help you build fortifications.

An axe will let you gather wood.

Wire can be used to make traps.

A battery will provide electricity.

A gas canister will let you start a generator.

Medicines will save you after a serious injury.

Old books will help you unlock new crafting recipes.

Car parts will bring long-forgotten vehicles back to life.

Sometimes, the last battery you find turns out to be more valuable than an assault rifle.

Over 50 types of weapons

Use everything you can find.

Kitchen knives.

Tire irons.

Baseball bats.

Axes.

Machetes.

Pistols.

Shotguns.

Assault rifles.

Hunting rifles.

Homemade weapons.

But remember...

Every loud gunshot can attract far more infected than you can eliminate.

Sometimes silence is your most powerful weapon.

Explore a fallen civilization

Once upon a time, this place was teeming with life.

Thousands of cars used to drive along these roads.

People were saved in hospitals.

Machinery was manufactured in factories.

Store shelves were never empty.

Now everything is different.

Every house holds its own story.

Every hospital may hide vital medicines.

Every military facility could be either the greatest find... or a deadly trap.

You never know what awaits you inside.

Every outing is a risk.

To survive, you’ll have to constantly leave your shelter.

Search for food.

Gather water.

Find medicine.

Scout for building materials.

Collect fuel.

Repair vehicles.

Before every expedition, you have to think about dozens of things.

Will you have enough ammo?

Will you forget the first-aid kit?

Do you have a spare battery?

Is there enough gas?

Any small detail you overlook could be a matter of life and death.

Your home is your last stronghold.

Any building can be turned into a true stronghold for survivors.

Board up the windows.

Reinforce the doors.

Erect walls.

Build watchtowers.

Run electrical lines.

Set up generators.

Create storage areas.

Set up workshops.

Build laboratories.

Install floodlights.

Set traps.

Every base becomes unique.

But even the strongest defenses don’t guarantee safety.

Sometimes a single mistake is all it takes...

To lose everything.

Light is life

After the disaster, an ordinary light bulb became a luxury.

Candles.

Flashlights.

Kerosene lamps.

Generators.

Power grids.

Now these aren’t just household items.

They’re the only thing standing between you and the darkness.

Every evening, you have to make a choice.

Conserve fuel and sit in the dark.

Or start the generator, light up the shelter...

...and attract the attention of those lurking in the darkness.

Not every survivor is equally valuable.

The most precious resource in this world is people.

Some are irreplaceable.

Your settlement may be home to specialists on whom the future of the entire group depends.

Engineer

The engineer constantly studies the technologies they find.

Creates new blueprints.

Unlocks the ability to build stronger walls, complex electrical systems, automatic gates, modern generators, security floodlights, and new types of fortifications.

Without an Engineer, the settlement’s development slows down significantly.

Doctor

The Doctor researches the virus.

Studies the samples found.

Works in the lab.

Creates medicines.

And gradually brings humanity closer to creating a vaccine.

Every research project requires time, rare materials, and constant protection.

The Last Hope

Rumors continue to circulate around the world.

Some believe that humanity can still be saved.

Others are convinced that all is lost.

Who is right?

You’ll have to find the answer on your own.

As you explore the world, you’ll discover old documents, lab records, radio broadcasts, and military archives.

Step by step, the true story of the catastrophe will begin to unfold.

People Are More Dangerous Than the Infected

Other players can become allies.

Or your worst enemies.

Today, you’re defending the settlement together.

Tomorrow, they might come for your supplies.

Or for the people.

Engineer.

Doctor.

Any specialist can accelerate the settlement’s development.

That’s exactly why attacks aren’t just about resources.

Sometimes, people themselves become the main target.

By kidnapping an experienced engineer or doctor, the enemy gains a huge advantage.

That’s why you have to defend more than just the walls.

You also have to protect those who live behind them.

A vehicle isn’t just a means of transportation.

A car can save your life.

Or bring death right to the base’s gates.

Any vehicle requires fuel.

Repairs.

Spare parts.

A new battery.

A working engine.

Every time you start the engine, the noise carries for a long distance.

Sometimes it’s better to walk a few kilometers than to start the car.

Bloody Night

There is an event that even the most experienced survivors fear.

One day, the sky begins to slowly turn red.

The air grows heavy.

A thick crimson fog appears on the horizon.

A few minutes later, acid rain begins to fall.

Everyone understands...

The Bloody Night has begun.

Even the infected disappear

During the Bloody Night, the zombies disappear.

No one knows why.

But that’s no reason to rejoice.

Because that’s when the real nightmare begins.

Huge parasitic organisms, about the size of a large dog, emerge from the infected ground.

There are too many to count.

Thousands of creatures migrate in a continuous stream across the entire world.

They destroy everything in their path.

Don’t open the door

Just one unlocked door is enough.

If the creatures get inside...

They’ll fill the entire house.

The rooms.

The hallways.

The basement.

They reproduce quickly.

They can’t be stopped with conventional weapons.

While you’re killing a dozen...

Hundreds are already surrounding the shelter.

They’re afraid of light.

Light is the only thing that can stop the flood of parasites.

That’s exactly why generators are invaluable.

People are building floodlight towers.

They’re illuminating the walls.

They’re setting up backup power sources.

But an ordinary flashlight won’t save you.

There are too many of them.

If the generator stops...

The house will instantly be plunged into darkness.

And in a few seconds, you’ll hear something start to scrape along the walls.

They’ve found you.

Underground

Some survivors head into the sewer tunnels ahead of time.

Old sewer lines.

Underground utility tunnels.

It’s dangerous there, too.

But sometimes it’s the only chance to survive the Bloody Night.

The world never stands still

While you’re building your base...

Someone is exploring military laboratories.

While you’re repairing your car...

Others are developing new technologies.

While you’re searching for food...

Bloody Night can begin at any moment.

This world doesn’t pause.

It exists on its own.

And if you don’t keep up...

It will leave you behind.

When will the day come?

Millions of people have vanished.

Cities have been emptied.

The sky is no longer what it used to be.

But as long as there’s even one person left who keeps fighting...

Hope is still alive.

Perhaps you’ll be the one to uncover the truth.

Perhaps your settlement will become humanity’s last stronghold.

And perhaps...

You’ll be the one to witness the first true dawn.

If it ever comes at all.
