Cards Come Back to Your Hand Over Time

Touhou Recast Lift is a 1v1 competitive digital card game where you fight with a team of two Touhou Project characters.

Cards in this game are not used up. When you cast a card, it goes into your Recast Zone according to its own "Recast Time." Each turn it moves up one step (a "Lift"), and when its Recast Time reaches 0, it returns to your hand.

Stronger cards come back slowly, while lighter cards return quickly. Because you can use the same card again and again, the match turns on which card to play when, and which card to bring back first.

You can also set one card from your hand face down to bring any card back one step sooner. Do you give up a card in hand to hurry your next move, or hold on to it? Every turn, you have to make the most of limited slots and limited time.

Two Fighters, One 10-Card Deck

Before a match, you prepare three fighters and a deck for each pair among them. A deck is just 10 cards: 9 Spell Cards and 1 Awakening Card.

When the match starts, both players reveal their three fighters and pick one at a time, simultaneously, to decide the two who will fight (Pick 2 of 3). The battle begins as you look at your opponent's three and read which pair to bring.

With only 10 cards, every card has a clear role, and how you combine them shows directly in how you play. You never lose by running out of cards in your deck.

"Preemption" lets you cut in and play a card against your opponent's attack, and "Awakening" lets you flip your trump card once your life drops to 3 or lower. Mind games and comebacks are packed into matches of about 15 minutes.

The Characters of Touhou Project

This is a fan-made game based on Touhou Project. In the base game, you can use 8 characters: Reimu Hakurei, Marisa Kirisame, Sakuya Izayoi, Remilia Scarlet, Youmu Konpaku, Yuyuko Saigyouji, Alice Margatroid, and Yukari Yakumo.

Each fighter has their own 7 Spell Cards and 1 Awakening Card, inspired by the original games. The same character can play very differently depending on their partner.

More characters are planned as DLC, grouped by original game.

Game Modes

• Training (single player): Battle CPU opponents made up of pairs of characters connected in the original games. There are two difficulty levels, and you earn rewards for winning.

Online Play (Planned for a Future Update)

Online play is not in the game yet. We plan to add the following ways to play in a future update.

• Ranked Match: Battle opponents of similar skill and climb the ranks as you win.
• Free Match: Play casual matches against other players without worrying about your rank.
• Mentorship: Become the "disciple" of a high-ranked player to borrow their deck for your matches. Try out exactly how skilled players build their decks, or get a feel for characters you don't own yet.

Free to Play, No Gacha

The base game is free, and you can play with all 8 characters.

Additional characters are offered as one-time purchase DLC with fixed contents. There is no gacha and nothing with random contents. DLC characters add more choices; they do not give a performance advantage.
