Grimoria is a fast-paced tactical card battler stripped of mana curves, bloated boards, and stalling. Inspired by the social bluffing and trick-taking traditions of Central European card play, every match is a compact, five-minute battle of reading intentions, setting traps, and managing thin margins.

A GAME OF MARGINS

Enter each clash with 10 Life and a hand of 3 cards drawn from your 14-card deck. Each round, both players commit a single card — highest strength wins, and the loser drops 2 Life.

With strict 15-second turns, matches move with relentless momentum from the first card to the last.

THE WINNER LEADS

Winning a round comes with an immediate tactical catch: you must play first in the next round.

Leading forces you to commit blind, exposing your play to an immediate counter-pick. Committing first grants you Tie Priority, but a well-timed elemental counter (Fire > Earth > Water > Fire) shatters that advantage and steals the round right back.

Every deck contains exactly 14 cards, strictly capped at a combined total of 70 strength.

Every slot is a deliberate trade-off. If you want the finishing power of a 9-strength Dragon, you are forced to balance your deck with a low-power card like the 1-strength Fairy. Victory isn't decided by rare cards; it is won by tricking your opponent into wasting their heavy hitters on your low-cost utility.

MYTHICAL CREATURES & RULE-BENDING ABILITIES

Every card in Grimoria is drawn from global folklore, from the fiery Phoenix and deep-sea Kraken to the cunning Kitsune and frozen Yeti. Beyond raw numbers, these mythical beasts bring game-altering abilities to the table:

• Face-Down Bluffs: Play cards face-down that reveal only at round’s end. Force your rival into an agonizing guess: did you drop a high-power finisher, or a cheap bait?

• Calculated Sacrifices: Lose a clash on purpose. Drop a low-cost Pegasus or Unicorn to mitigate incoming damage, preserving your life pool while burning your opponent’s best cards.

• Ability Negation: Shut down game-winning enemy effects entirely using the cunning Nekomata.

• Rule Reversals: Punish rivals hoarding high cards with match-altering abilities like "Next Round: Lowest Strength Wins."
