This DLC brings to Crosstalk a DANGCSA/DANGXA-native from-scratch, partially Java edition-compatible reimplementation of the popular cube-placing game. Its goal is to help users learn reading program memory and identify hex patterns without questioning themselves.
On the path to breaking free of proprietary architectures, this free DLC brings to DANGCSA/DANGXA a popular game, reimplemented in pure C99 as a DANGCSA/DANGXA-native game. It is partially compatible with the Java edition and original servers, including Fabric.
The purpose of this game is to help people learn reading binary via hex and use this skill to read program memory, whether live or dumped. To help with this, the entire world is represented as hex patterns in memory. Players, quite literally, learn to see what they would normally see on their screen, in memory. It helps build intuition and skill. For those starting out, there is a simplification, which constrains all the patterns used to ASCII, where "~," for example, stands for "water."
