Kingsward TD
Kingsward TD is a fantasy tower-defense roguelite where you build the battlefield as you defend it. Choose how the map expands, move and specialize your towers as new routes open, or Hold Position for stronger defenses while enemy pressure builds.
Build the battlefield as you defend it
Kingsward TD starts small, but the map doesn’t stay that way.
As you survive waves, you’ll choose new chunks of land to add to the battlefield. A new chunk might give you better high ground, open another route to the castle, introduce a different biome, or completely mess up the defense you thought was finished.
You’re not just choosing where to put towers. You’re choosing what kind of map you’ll have to defend.
Expand — or don’t
You don’t always have to take the next piece of land.
Hold Position to entrench your current defenses and give your towers temporary bonuses. Keep holding, though, and enemy pressure starts building too.
Sometimes expanding is safer. Sometimes you can squeeze another wave out of the setup you already have.
Towers that can change with the run
Upgrade your towers, change their targeting priorities, specialize them into different roles, and relocate them when the battlefield moves past their original position.
A tower that was perfect ten waves ago might be sitting in completely the wrong place now.
The current demo includes six tower types, each built around a different job on the battlefield, from direct damage and artillery to magic, slows, and support.
The terrain actually matters
Biomes aren’t just background changes.
Mud and water can slow enemies or apply status effects. Snow changes movement. Elevation can make some defensive positions more valuable than others.
As more of the map opens up, you’ll have to decide whether a new area is something you can use — or another problem you just gave yourself.
Enemies change with the run too
Later waves bring Elites, Champions, flying enemies, and bosses alongside the normal hordes.
Some are simply harder to kill. Others can punish a defense that was working perfectly a few waves earlier.
Relics, tower specializations, terrain effects, and the layout you create all give you different ways to deal with them.
