A WW2 real-time strategy game inspired by the RTS classics of the '90s, on maps of every size. Run supply lines of metal and fuel, build an army, a navy and an air force, and fight on land and at sea as one of six nations, each with its own special weapons. Cut the enemy's oil, and his army stops.

Iron wins battles. Oil keeps it moving.

Iron & Oil is a real-time strategy game set in a Second World War fought on land, at sea and in the air. Every tank, ship and plane costs money, metal and fuel, and every one of them burns fuel until it is refuelled or stops dead. Build the supply lines, protect them, and break your enemy's.

Six nations, each fighting its own way

  • United States, Britain, Germany, Russia, Japan and France, each with its own strengths, weaknesses and special units.

  • Fire Germany's V-2 rockets, flood the field with Russian Katyushas, or send a French Resistance jeep to sabotage an enemy factory.

Land, sea and air

  • Tanks, artillery and trucks on land; destroyers, submarines, battleships and carriers at sea; fighters and bombers in the air.

  • Control of the sea decides where you can strike: troop transports land armies on enemy shores, while carriers and long-range bombers reach far behind the lines.

An economy you can attack

  • Ore goes from mine to furnace by truck. Oil goes from platform to refinery by tanker. Sink the tankers and the enemy's army runs dry.

  • Research your way from light guns to heavy tanks, radar and super-weapons.

Skirmish against the AI

  • Play alone or in teams of up to four against AI commanders with their own personalities.

  • Fog of war, radar, control groups, build queues and adjustable game speed.
