A mob trivia game dressed up as a debt collection. You owe Doc Tommy ten thousand dollars. Answer questions about Our Business — every right answer pays the debt down, every wrong one adds to it. Reach $0 and you walk. Reach $30,000 and you don't.
It's the Mob. It's Trivia. It's Business. Not Personal.
You're Jimmy Reid — nice Florida kid, now living in Jersey. You went to see Doc Tommy, a mob-connected 24-hour cash dentist who keeps a book on the side. He fixed your toothache and set you up with a sure bet on your beloved Gators. You lost. Fast-forward: a few more "guaranteed" winners, barely any payback — and now you owe Doc Tommy ten thousand dollars.
That's where you come in.
The Vig is a mob trivia game dressed up as a debt collection. MacGregor picks you up in a '37 Rolls-Royce, drives you to see Doc Tommy, and lays out the deal: answer questions about Our Business and every right answer pays the debt down. Every wrong one adds to it.
Reach $0, you walk. Reach $30,000, you don't.
How You Play
High Stakes — the real story. Ten grand on the line, six categories of mob-culture trivia, and more than one way it can end.
- Three difficulty levels: Don (expert), Capo (intermediate), Soldier (beginner)
- Win by paying off your $10,000 debt. Lose by escalating the debt to $30,000.
Open Play — warm up with MacGregor first. No real consequences, cash out whenever you want — and whatever you win carries over as a discount when you go High Stakes. Whatever you owe adds to your debt to the Boss.
- Run the board and win — answer all 602 questions with a positive cash balance and you walk away Practice Round Champion. And your debt is wiped clean.
- Ask Teresa — stuck on a question? Call in a lifeline. Three lifelines every 20 questions in practice mode.
What's On The Line
This isn't a quiz with a scoreboard. Turn down the offer and there's John Boy waiting. Run the debt past $30,000 and you're not gambling for a while. Pay it down to zero and you get your life back — assuming you don't make the same mistake twice.
Features
