Rescue the Celestia

Command a deep space rescue operation in this space management game, where you manage a fleet of ships, build bases, coordinate resources distribution, and explore uncharted planets to find and save the scattered crew of the ISS Celestia.
Rescue the Celestia is a space management and exploration game where you command a rescue operation deep in an uncharted region of space. With a small fleet and limited resources at your disposal, search distant planets for the scattered crew of the ISS Celestia, establish stations and bases, build your logistics network, and manage the resources needed to keep the operation running. Explore uncharted worlds, locate the survivors and uncover their stories. With an open upgrade system and a procedurally generated map, decide how you want to build and manage your operation and find your own way to bring the crew home.
THE CELESTIA INCIDENT
The Interstellar Union (ISU) is the galaxy’s foremost diplomatic body, created to foster cooperation and mutual understanding among its diverse members. Space remains vast and largely uncharted, so in order to prevent unchecked expansion and resource exploitation, the Interstellar Union also regulates exploration rights. Survey vessels conduct initial assessments of uncharted regions, and only after their reports are approved may the sponsoring faction establish a permanent presence or begin resource operations. The most recent exploration mandate was authorized for the Sigma-76 region in the Panumbra Arm.
The survey ship ISS Celestia was dispatched to carry out the mission, but midway through its work something went wrong. Its main core destabilized and was moments from a catastrophic explosion. The crew managed to reach the escape pods and launch just before the ship went up. The nuclear blast annihilated the Celestia and crippled every survey sensor and long-range antenna in the area. The Rescue and Salvage Agency, an old, chronically underfunded branch of the ISU tasked with recovering personnel and assets, has been ordered to respond.
COMMAND THE OPERATION
In Rescue the Celestia, you are in charge of the rescue operation. You were given three ships and a very limited amount of resources to locate and rescue the crew of the Celestia.
Send your ships to the planets of the sector to locate and contact survivors. Bring them resources to rescue them and bring them back to the main ship.
The catch is that you were not given enough resources to save everyone. You will need to put the rescued survivors to work. Establish space stations and bases, produce resources locally.
Command a fleet of three ship types:
Standard: Balanced range, speed and cargo capacity
Scout ship: Fast and long reaching, but unable to carry cargo
Haul ship: slow but superior cargo capacity
Build bases and manage resources
Manage production and routing of food and medicine to rescue the crew
Produce and distribute fuel across your bases and stations to prevent ships from running out.
Trade for and extract build materials to build space stations and bases
Manage worker placement to produce resources
EXPLORE THE SECTOR
Find the escape pods scattered across the sector. Each pod has landed (or crashed!) on an uncharted planet, where a unique mystery awaits.
Explore seven different types of worlds, each with its own stories and narrative encounters:
Continental
Moon
Barren
Primordial
Ice
Rocky
Desert
Meet the survivors, communicate with the pod leader and uncover their story through one the 21 narrative arcs available.
Explore the anomalies your sensors detect (at your own risk!) and search for the debris of the Celestia.
PLAY YOUR OWN WAY
There is no single way to run your rescue operation. Decide where to build bases, where to produce resources, how to move them across planets, stations and bases. Develop your own logistics network and experiment with different strategies.
An open upgrade system lets you develop your fleet and infrastructure to support your strategy. Whether you focus on a centralized strategy or a distributed production system, or anything else, there are upgrades to help you specialize your operation your way.
The map is procedurally generated, with different sizes to choose from, presenting new challenges every playthrough.
