Globecide
Nine weapons, 73 populated planets and a clock. Read each world's cities, coasts and fault lines, pick the right tool, and hit the kill target before time runs out. Every crater, fissure and flood stays. Spend the dead on nine upgrade trees.
ONE PLANET. NINE WEAPONS. A CLOCK.
Globecide is a planet-destruction strategy game. Every world has its own population map: megacity clusters, long canal towns, crowded coasts, scattered islands. Each level gives you a kill target and a time limit. Pick the weapon that fits the planet, place it well, and make every cooldown count.
The damage is real. Craters are carved into the planet, faults sink trenches and push the ground apart, floods roll inland, and scorched ground stays scorched. What you do in the first minute shapes the planet you are fighting in the last.
NINE WEAPONS, NINE WAYS TO THINK
• Warhead - Dial the yield, choose a crater or a deep collapse, and pick the city. Your first answer to anything dense.
• Death Laser - A beam you drag across the ground. Hold still to focus and melt through, move and it spreads. Mind the heat or it locks out.
• Kinetic Impactor - An asteroid called down from orbit. The fall takes seconds and can't be skipped, so the aim has to be right the first time.
• Singularity - A black hole hangs over the ground, drags cities and coastlines into itself for six seconds, then collapses into a pit.
• Grey Goo - Drop one seed and a swarm crawls out on its own, steering toward people and splitting as it feeds. Where you drop it is the whole decision.
• Planet Cracker - Drag to lay the fault line. A drill rig lands, bores through the crust and tears the planet open along your line.
• Machine Gun - Held fire from an orbital autocannon, for sweeping up the many small targets one big blast would miss.
• Fracture Charge - A penetrator that bursts into a random, branching network of fissures and caves into a sinkhole. Hit an old network with a new one and it ruptures again.
• Tsunami Charge - Open ocean only. The wave bends round continents, reaches every coast it can and floods inland. Picking the ocean is final.
THE PLANET PICKS THE WEAPON
The campaign's 72 planets are split into nine sectors, and each sector hands you one new weapon along with worlds built for it: ribbon worlds of long, thin settlements for the laser, megacity cores for the singularity, tectonic frontiers for the cracker, island chains for the machine gun, ocean worlds with low, crowded coasts for the tsunami. Every earlier weapon still works, so every planet has more than one answer. The last planet of each sector is a Keystone world: bigger, more crowded and a longer fight.
PLAN AROUND COOLDOWNS
Every weapon recharges on its own timer, and most keep working after you fire them. A black hole feeds, a swarm roams, a wave is still crossing the sea. Launch the slow weapons first, fill the gaps with fast ones, and stack effects on the same ground. A wasted shot is time you don't get back.
SPEND THE DEAD
Casualties are your currency. Each weapon has its own doctrine wheel with three branches of upgrades, and the last ranks change how the weapon plays:
• MIRV warheads, or a single Tsar-class device at double yield
• A laser that kills everyone inside a loop you close with the beam
• Goo that multiplies out of control late in its life
• A fault that girdles the world and splits the planet in half
• Fracture networks that merge, speed up and cave in together
• A flood that never recedes
Kills from cleared planets are banked, so your early choices shape the whole campaign.
EXTERMINATION MODE
Finish the campaign to unlock it. Nine random planets, every weapon unlocked and fully upgraded, one clock for the whole run. Kill everyone on each world to move on. Retries cost time.
ALSO
• Three difficulties: Cadet, Commander and Warlord change the kill target and the clock.
• A kill cam films the shot that clears a planet in slow motion. Cinematic Mode films every attack.
• Hide the HUD and dive down to the surface to see the damage up close.
• Steam leaderboards: Fastest Extermination, Deadliest Single Attack and Lifetime Body Count.
• Steam achievements, gamepad support and 14 languages.
THE SETUP
You are the weapons officer on a ship that erases planets. The story is short. The planets are what you are here for.
