The Pyramid is an indie and roguelike roulette challenge that celebrates all of those games that have been collecting dust in your Steam library.
The Pyramid is an indie and roguelike roulette challenge that celebrates all of those games you've played and loved over the years, but haven't touched in a while. With over 3000 custom hand-made challenge cards, across 150+ supported games, there's billions of combinations of challenge runs for you to explore and complete.
The Pyramid does not give you access to all of these games, you need to own them to play them. It is a tool to enjoy the games you already own.
Each run of the Pyramid you'll choose your deck of games you're willing to play, and then the application will randomly select 5 of them and give you a challenge to complete for the game. Each game will give you a primary objective, something simple like winning a run of a roguelike with a certain character, and then a secondary objective, something to complete on the run.
With ~3000 custom challenges, across 150+ games, you're looking at around 22,529,682,453,000,683,520 unique Pyramid runs you'll have the opportunity to encounter.
That's 22.5 quintillion Pyramid runs.
That means that even if it took you one second to complete a full run of 5 games, it'll take you 714 billion years to exhaust all of the combinations. You heard us right.
"What if I don't have all of the games shown here?"
No worries there, you'll be selecting the games YOU want to play, you have full control over your Pyramid run.
"That objective doesn't look fun to complete."
No one's looking, just click the deck to flip a new objective down, we won't tell.
If you can name it, we have it.
Binding of Isaac? Yup, in fact... 4 different versions.
Slay the Spire? Oh you want Slay the Spire 1 or Slay the Spire 2, maybe Slay the Spire 1 but modded?
Balatro? brother c'mon, of course we do
What about lesser known gems, Tiny Rogues, Space Gladiators, Forward: Escape the Fold? Got it, got it, got it. C'mon give us a hard one.
Okay seriously though there's no way you have Circadian Dice, Temp Zero, Neophyte, Pawnbarian, Just King, Endgame of De-- I'll interrupt you, we do
Well I'm not the biggest roguelike person, what about non-roguelike indiegames? Oh, you mean games like Hollow Knight, Celeste, Minecraft, even Baba is You... yeah we got 'em.
I don't like indie games though. How in the world did you end up reading this description then? Okay fine bro we have a Breath of the Wild, Kirby Air Riders, HITMAN, Apex Legends, and Fortnite deck.
I want weird decks though, what you got? How bout a Wordle, Wikipedia, three different dating simulators, and even a deck all about touching grass.
With a full 'bestiary' of games, The Pyramid is a great tool to learn about new games you might love.
Library showing every game in The Pyramid, complete with information about the game and a full display of each card in the deck
Full tagging system to look for games similar to games you already love, or remove games you have no interest in playing
Ability to save your presets and filters to make your next run easy to hop into
Looking to spice up your weekly game night sessions? We've got multiplayer and co-op rules laid out for every game as well, so you can draft a run locally or over a screen share, then hop into your games and compete with or against any number of friends.
Obviously we can't create a deck for every game ever made (trust me, we tried).
So it's only fair we give you the tools to make your own Pyramid decks to share on the Steam Workshop. The app comes with all of the tools to get started, with help waiting for you in the official Pyramid Discord server.
