A noir detective game played at your desk. Read evidence photos, CCTV footage and records, compare fingerprints and voices, and fill in the suspect matrix yourself before you accuse anyone. Juggle action points, fees and deadlines across eight cases as a criminal organization closes in.

You are an analyst for a private investigation agency in Ashford. You do not go to the crime scene. Your desktop holds photographs, footage, readable evidence transcripts and databases. Your job is to turn those records into a defensible report.

Interpret the evidence. Make the judgment.

Open marked evidence, read source-based transcripts, compare fingerprints and voices, and check names and plates in the databases. A match shows contact, not guilt. Compare the time of the crime with each alibi and ask why someone would have touched an object.

Before you accuse anyone, fill in their suspect-matrix row by hand. Toggle each criterion between confirmed, ruled out and unknown, then resolve every column for your chosen suspect. The game does not fill the matrix for you. Inconsistent judgments send the report back for review.

Go deeper before you submit

Optional reconstruction lets you organize evidence into a stronger proof for extra reputation before your verdict. It is not a prerequisite for accusing a suspect, and a careless reconstruction costs reputation. A correct verdict always leads to the Final Decision: what will you do with the truth?

Days are the real currency

Action points do not regenerate. The only way to get them back is to end the day — and the client is counting those days. Run late and your fee shrinks. Run too late and the file goes cold, unsolved, for the rest of the season.

Money buys time and room to breathe. A lab contract so analysis stops eating your action points. A field agent who runs one location for you. Another day, negotiated. A safehouse, when the organisation starts leaning on you.

Equipment helps you investigate and manage costs, and some files need specialist equipment before you can prove them. Interpreting the results is still your responsibility.

Choose your next assignment

Several assignments compete for your attention. Choose their order while watching each file's deadline; offers left waiting too long disappear. All eight cases can be reached in one run with the right choices and planning, including the hidden assignment; neglect can still leave files unresolved.

The organisation notices

Take the dangerous route often enough and a car with a covered plate parks outside your office. Someone calls your client anonymously. There is an envelope at your door with yesterday's photograph of you inside it.

Season 1: The Ledger

Eight cases — a disappearance, a homicide, extortion, embezzlement, a shell company, an abducted agent, a leak, and the name that keeps surfacing underneath all of them.

  • 8 authored cases, including a hidden assignment unlocked through your choices

  • A desktop investigation built around evidence interpretation and a manual suspect matrix

  • AP, fees, deadlines and organizational pressure make each investigation a resource decision

  • 6 endings shaped by accuracy, reputation, morality and heat

  • Interface and case text in English, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese

Season 1: The Ledger is a standalone story that resolves its main case. A possible future continuation would explore more of Ashford, not supply a missing ending. You are an analyst for a private investigation agency in Ashford. You do not go to the crime scene.
