Old-school 2D MMORPG, played in French. Real-time combat, dungeons and raids of four to eight, six professions where crafting takes real time, an auction house in every village and trading companies run by guilds. Free, no daily limits, made by one person.

Valenya Online is a 2D MMORPG in the old-school tradition of detailed sprite games. A persistent world, real-time combat, group dungeons and an economy entirely in the hands of the players. The game is made by one person and

changes every week.

The game is in French. The interface is available in English, but quests, dialogue and item texts are in French for now.
A world to cross
Forests, moors, marshes, deserts and tundra follow one another in rings around the starting villages. Each region has its own creatures, resources and places to find: caves, ruins, hidden points of interest. The main campaign,

The Chronicle, crosses the whole world in several acts and ends in a raid.
Combat
Six classes, chosen at character creation. Fights happen in real time on the grid: auto-attack with automatic approach, quick-cast spells (line shots, ground-targeted areas, novas around the caster), dodging with a dash.

Stepping back while a spell recharges is part of the game. Dungeon bosses have their own mechanics: ground telegraphs, phases, adds to handle.
Dungeons and raids
Group dungeons from level 20 and raids of four to eight players, with equipment sets specific to each place. The final raid of the current cycle, The Bells Under the Water, is played by eight across several floors.
Crafting
Six professions: carpenter, miner, trapper, blacksmith, cook and alchemist. A piece of equipment takes real minutes or hours to make, in a crafting queue that keeps running while you play. Professions depend on each other: the

blacksmith needs the miner, the cook needs the trapper. Nobody can produce everything alone.
A player economy
Every village has its own auction house with its own prices: what is rare in the desert sells high in the forest. Buy orders, sell orders, direct trades between players. NPC merchants only buy at floor prices; the real market

is the players'.

A guild can become a trading company: a ledger, shares held by members, dividends paid out of profits, and a public register of titles. Shares are traded between players.
No daily limit
No action points, no energy, no quota. Gather, craft and fight as much as you want. On Sunday evenings, a contest ranks players in six categories and shows the winners on an honour board. More events will come as the game
Access
The game is free. Progression up to level 45 is included with no purchase. It needs a permanent internet connection and a game account, created in one click from the client. The game is in active development: the community is

still small, and weekly updates regularly bring content and balance changes.
