My Friend is Blind
Coming soonActionCasualIndieWindows
A two-player online co-op puzzle game where one of you sees everything and the other almost nothing. The Guide spots the mines, traps and guards; the Blind has to get through every trial trusting only their partner's voice. Talk, fail, explode, try again.
You see. They walk.
My Friend is Blind is an asymmetric online co-op game for two players, set in a robot testing facility that has been turned into a chaotic game show. One of you is the Guide: you can see the mines, the traps, the crumbling tiles and the guards lying in wait. The other is the Blind: they move almost in the dark and can rely only on their partner's directions.
There is no in-game voice chat: talk however you like, on a call or sitting in the same room. Communication is the real game mechanic.
Six trials to test a friendship
- Minefield: cross a corridor full of mines only the Guide can see, while a crusher wall closes in from behind.
- Safe Tiles: when the timer runs out, every tile falls except the safe ones. Only the Guide knows which they are.
- Don't Move: a watcher robot eliminates anyone who moves while it is looking. And mind the trapdoors.
- Glass Circuit: rows of paired glass platforms. One holds, the other breaks, and only the Guide's terminals show which.
- Final Shape: the Blind operates an industrial cutter while the Guide sees the target shape and has to steer the cut by voice.
- Echo Protocol: a corridor patrolled by guards who react to every sound. Move quietly and throw objects to distract them.
Features
- 2-player online co-op: host a match and read the room code to your partner.
- Asymmetric roles: the Guide sees, the Blind acts. You can swap roles.
- The Blind has two tools: Flash, a quick look at the whole room, and Scan, a longer look at what is close by.
- A taunt emote, for when your friend blows you up for the third time in a row.
- Quick deaths and instant restarts: failing is part of the fun.
