March Out!

October 2026ActionIndieStrategyWindowsmacOS

Lead your kingdom from the command hall, then fight beside the soldiers you recruited. Storm castles with friends in online battles for 2–4 players, or conquer a solo campaign where your surviving army marches into the next siege.

Your army needs a commander. Your castle needs a plan.

March Out! combines medieval real time strategy with third person combat. Recruit an army, strengthen your defenses and push through enemy fortifications. Then leave the command hall and fight alongside the troops you sent out.

Build the kingdom. Choose your moment.

Manage recruitment, turrets and kingdom advancement from three focused views inside your command hall. Each of the three eras brings distinct equipment for melee, ranged and heavy troops: simple bows give way to crossbows and gunpowder weapons as your kingdom develops.

Kingdom advancement transforms your castle, improves your troops and researches stronger defenses. It also opens additional turret positions. Buying and repairing those turrets still costs gold: spending everything on an attack can leave your own gate exposed.

March out with your army

Take direct control of your commander on the battlefield. Strike at nearby enemies, sprint between the front line and your castle, and rally surrounding allies to help them survive a hard push. You can turn a close fight, but you cannot replace an army.

Shields collide, crossbow bolts cut across the road and explosive volleys break into crowded formations. Damaged armor, fallen soldiers and burning defenses show the cost of the advance.

Return to your protected courtyard while your castle stands, or man a wall weapon and face return fire. Order a retreat to bring your troops back through the gates and hold inside, then resume the advance when you are ready. Retreat does not heal your army, and enemies can still besiege your castle.

Fight for the ground between the castles

Capture fortified outposts along the route to secure additional income and bring their weapons onto your side. Take control of a captured battery yourself to support your troops. Catapult firepots leave burning ground that can punish a packed formation.

Battle through forest roads, river crossings, quarry terrain, exposed ridges, marshland and a snowy mountain pass. Each battlefield changes the surroundings and the shape of your approach.

Take the next castle

Conquer six castles in the single player campaign. Occupy the stronghold you defeat, restore its defenses and carry your surviving troops into the next siege. Stronger enemy kingdoms demand more than the army that won your last battle. Protect your veterans, rebuild your ranks and decide when to invest in advancement.

Four ways to fight online

Castle War · 2 players
Wage an extended conquest with two commanders and their armies. Capture castles, carry survivors forward and fight back through lost territory. The war ends only when one side has no castles left; a cemetery records the fallen on both sides.

King of the Keep · 2–4 players
Storm a large central fortress and hold its courtyard to accumulate time toward victory. Your home castle stays safe, and losing the keep does not erase the time you earned.

Capture the Banner · 2–4 players
Bring the shared central banner home as your commander, with your army escorting you. Death drops the banner. First to three deliveries wins.

Last Castle Standing · 2–4 players
Choose your army’s destination, defend your own castle and destroy the rival kingdoms. One castle per player. One kingdom left standing.

Make the kingdom yours

Choose your house name, colors and crest, and customize your commander's appearance. Your army and strongholds carry your colors into battle. Between the steel and smoke, throw a harmless tomato at a rival: it leaves a temporary stain, not an advantage in combat.

Earn bronze, silver and polished gold armor finishes, or unlock goblin, undead and candy themes. Your commander, soldiers and castle share the look, while era equipment and team markings remain recognizable.

Keyboard and mouse controls. Four graphics presets and individual visual settings. Interface available in 15 languages.
