Your monitor is the aquarium. Type and click as you always do: your input becomes food, fish grow on your desktop, and gold piles up while you work. Collect 29 crayon-drawn species, roll for rare ones, chase off sharks, paint your own fish. Clicks pass through, and keystrokes are never recorded.

Your desktop is the aquarium

fih is a desktop companion game where fish grow beside you while you work. They swim on a transparent window over your whole screen, but every click that does not land on a fish, a pellet, a shark or the UI passes straight through to the window behind. It never gets in your way.

Your typing is the food
Every keypress and click counts as one input. Every 30 inputs, a pellet drops with a little pop. Hungry fish swim over, eat, gain weight, and grow from egg to baby, child, teen and adult. Grown fish earn gold every ten seconds — five minutes of a fish's passive income adds up to its own sell price, so the tank keeps working while you are away. No fish ever starves to death.

Roll, collect, raise
Three kinds of eggs hatch 29 species: 10 ornamental fish, 10 mid-size edible fish, 5 legendary rarities such as the coelacanth, and 4 unique memes (CatFih, ShoesFih, Dih, SelFih). On top of the species roll, every individual rolls its own rarity. The base art is a black crayon sketch on white paper, and rarer individuals get colored over it — pale blue for rare, gold for legendary, a shifting rainbow for unique. Hatch a species once and it unlocks in the collection.

Draw your own fish
An in-game paint panel lets you draw a fish's look yourself. Keep several looks per species in its gallery, and newly hatched fish will wear one of them at random.

Sharks show up
Every 8 to 15 minutes a warning blinks at the edge of the screen and a police siren wails. Your adults swim in to fight; click the shark to add damage. Kill it for a growing reward, or lose fish if you are slow. This is the only place in the game where you can lose anything.

Eight upgrades
Passive income, sell income, feeding rate, food value, auto-clicks per second, rare chance, tank capacity, and combat power.

Pick your monitors
Choose which displays the fish may roam, and they will swim from one monitor to the next. Korean and English are supported, and the aquarium hides itself when a fullscreen app takes over.

Privacy
The global input hook counts events and nothing else. Which keys you pressed is never stored, logged, or sent anywhere.
