Chess Longer
It’s chess, but longer. Play up to 99 simultaneous boards at once, throw four armies into a chaotic skirmish, add a fifth for good measure, or take the battle into 3D with six-way Cube Chess. Classic rules, pushed to a ridiculous scale.
It’s Chess, But Longer.
Chess Longer takes the game you already know and asks the question: what if there was simply… more?
In Chess Longer, each additional board adds another complete army to the battlefield. Your forces can move beyond their original board and collide with pieces from neighbouring armies, turning into one enormous interconnected battle.
Can you focus on 99 games at once?
Four-Way Chess
Why limit yourself to two sides?
Four-Way mode throws White, Red, Black and Blue onto a huge cross-shaped battlefield, each attacking from a different direction.
You control White while the other armies fight under AI control. Armies can be eliminated as their kings fall, while their surviving pieces remain on the battlefield as increasingly inconvenient obstacles.
Five-Way Chess
Four armies apparently wasn’t enough.
Five-Way mode adds a hostile Green army directly into the centre of the battlefield. The surrounding armies now have another problem to deal with while still trying to survive each other.
Expect crowded boards, strange alliances of convenience, enormous battles and a lot of pieces disappearing.
Cubed Chess
And then things get weird.
Cube Chess wraps the battlefield around all six sides of a 3D cube.
White, Red, Black, Blue, Green and Yellow each occupy their own face, with pieces able to travel across cube edges and continue fighting on neighbouring sides.
Rotate the entire battlefield, explore it with a free-roaming camera, and try to keep track of threats coming from literally every direction.
Built Around Controlled Chaos
Chess Longer keeps the recognisable movement and strategy of chess, then puts those rules into increasingly ridiculous situations.
