Pass as an AI. Blend into the crowd. Don’t get caught.

Autumn, 1926. Shipping magnate Henry Blackwood is throwing his 65th birthday dinner at his country manor. Scotland Yard has received a tip-off: spies have slipped in among the guests.

The guest you’ve replaced has old friends, a former employer and an old rival here tonight. They’ll come over to catch up: “Remember that night in Venice? How did it end for you?”
Get it wrong once, and they’ll remember.

Spies: Pass as an AI NPC

• Study your character card: their catchphrases, habits and relationships

• Slip code words into a conversation with at least two guests present, without raising an eyebrow

• Sneak off to the gallery or dining room for secret tasks, and don’t get caught in the act

• Singled out by the detective to show off your party trick in front of everyone? One slip and you’re exposed

Detectives: Find the Human in the Crowd

• Eavesdrop, question anyone, and mark suspects in your guest dossier

• Call meetings: send everyone to their closest friend, demand a performance, or check alibis

• Your accusations are limited: every wrong guess costs you one

The AI NPCs See Every Move

• The AI NPCs decide for themselves where to go, who to talk to and what to say. They remember who they spoke with tonight and whose stories don’t add up. When the detective asks, they’ll say who they suspect, and why.

• You might fool one guest. Fooling the whole room is another matter.

Every Game Ends with a Debrief

• When the dinner is over, see the details you missed, and what every guest really thought of you.
