Universal Chess

Universal Chess is a chess variant on an 8×8 board. King and Queen are both Sovereigns and move in the same way. The strongest piece is the Armored. With them are the Elephant, Horse, Camel, Infantryman and Towers.

You can play alone against the computer, with two people at the same computer, or have two computers play each other. Before the game you choose the setup of the Sovereigns and heavy pieces, from 192 positions, the regime and the movement of the heavy pieces. The regime can be a diarchy, a monarchy of the King or a monarchy of the Queen. Movement can be standard or enhanced.

The martial rule, atomic permutation, sovereign castling and the infantry retreat can also be used.
