Splatterworks is a physics sandbox where every experiment leaves a mark. Build contraptions, stage ragdoll battles, and unleash weapons and hazards on a detailed injury simulation. Create chaos solo or bring friends along for online co-op.

Your sandbox. Your experiment. Your disaster.

Splatterworks is a first-person physics sandbox built around active ragdolls, detailed injuries, and experiments that rarely stay tidy. Spawn characters, arm opposing teams, build an elaborate contraption, or grab a physics gun and see what happens.

Every hit has consequences

Characters react to what happens to their bodies. Injuries affect movement and balance, turning a steady walk into a limp or a crawl. Bullets, blades, and blunt force each leave their own kind of wound, from shallow slices to cracked skulls, and an X-ray view shows exactly what was damaged underneath.

Experiment with firearms, katanas, hatchets, explosives, and environmental hazards, with blood splatter, pooling, and dismemberment making the aftermath part of the sandbox.

Build the reaction

Place structures and movable props. Combine motors, thrusters, ropes, and pulleys into contraptions. Wire buttons, sensors, timers, and logic gates to doors, lifts, and traps, then set your creation in motion.

Set the scene, then change the rules

Arrange teams, weapons, armor, and objectives to stage your own encounters. Freeze the action, slow down the simulation, or reset and try another approach. Save scenario layouts in single-player to revisit your setups. If you want a head start, the tutorials and ready-made experiments give you somewhere to begin.

Bring friends into the experiment

Share the sandbox in online co-op. Build together, stage battles, and find out what happens when several people have access to the same tools.

More places to make a mess

Subscribe to community maps and addons through the Steam Workshop, and they show up in the game next to the built-in content.

Whether you're testing a carefully wired machine or improvising your next ridiculous experiment, the setup is yours. So is the mess.
