Compare statements and evidence in old case files to uncover contradictions. Arrange character and object tokens across locations and time periods to reconstruct each case and reveal the truth buried beneath the records.
The records contain a conclusion. But does it tell the whole story?
In Beneath the Record, you revisit old case files.
Examine the statements and evidence left behind, and uncover the truth that the records alone cannot explain.
Find contradictions in the records
Even records of the same incident can tell different stories.
Compare witness statements with the facts found at the scene, and look for details that do not add up.
As you piece together scattered records, new clues offer a different perspective on the case.
Gather clues and reconstruct the case
Pin important sentences to bring together and compare clues from different records.
Use the clues you have gathered to arrange character and object tokens and reconstruct what happened.
Compare your arrangement with the records, and piece together the sequence of events.
