A low-altitude jet combat game. Fly mouse-aim jets based on the real aircraft's public technical data over an endless procedural world, score low passes and streaks, break through SAM belts and enemy fighters to the core, and climb a ladder of 38 aircraft from the MiG-15 to the F-35.

Jet Combat Sim is a low-altitude flight combat game for Windows and Linux. Fly fast and close to the ground, skim the tree line, then pull up into the fight. Low passes score. Guns, missiles and flares settle the fights. Every impact marks the terrain.

Real planes, easy to fly

Point with the mouse and your jet flies there. Under the hood each plane has its own weight, thrust, wings and drag. Climbs bleed speed and stalls are real. A MiG-15 does not fly like an F-16, and a B-52 does not fly like either.
Pick your controls: mouse aim, mouse aim with keyboard override, mouse stick, gamepad, or joystick and HOTAS. Every action can be rebound. Instructor mode keeps new pilots in the air while they learn.

Break through to the core

The career run starts more than 200 km from the enemy core. Stay low under the radar to keep your stealth bar, destroy the SAM sites in each belt, fight off the enemy fighters sent after you, and push the front forward until you reach the core defences. Crash and the run is over, so every pass counts.

Score every pass

The lower and faster you fly, the more points you get. Chain passes into a streak and the multiplier keeps climbing. Clip a tree and the pass is gone. Your cockpit avionics show your points, streak and stealth live. Post your best runs on the online leaderboard.

38 aircraft

Climb the ladder from the first jet fighters to the stealth era:
  • Early jets: MiG-15, F-86 Sabre, MiG-21bis, F-4E Phantom II
  • Fourth generation: F-14A Tomcat, A-10A, F-15C Eagle, F-16, Su-27, MiG-29, Mirage 2000C, F/A-18 Hornet, Rafale C, JAS 39C Gripen in the RTAF Wing 7 shark-mouth livery, Su-34, Eurofighter Typhoon
  • Stealth era: Su-47 Berkut, F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II, J-36 Prototype
  • Specials: Me 262, Nord Griffon II, PZL-230F Skorpion, SR-71A Blackbird, Aurora, F-117A Nighthawk
  • Light attack: A-29B Super Tucano
  • Bombers: B-52H, Tu-95MS, Avro Vulcan, Tu-160, Tu-22M3, B-1B, B-2A
  • Transports: Concorde, An-225 Mriya, C-17A, Beluga

Skill tree and hangar

Every run earns experience and credits. Spend them on new planes and on a skill tree of upgrades: tougher stealth, faster recovery, radar intel that shows SAM coverage on your scope, and more.

A world you can break

The world is procedural and it never ends. Forested mountains and valleys, desert canyons and tropical islands rising from the sea stream in as you fly, with day and night. Bombs, missiles and crashes dig craters into the ground, and the craters stay.

Crash, watch, go again

When you go down, the crash camera circles your wreck so you can see what happened. Then you are back in the air in seconds.
