Don't just take pieces. Steal their moves. In this chess variant, a capturing piece keeps the movement abilities of the pieces it captures. If a pawn takes a rook, then takes a bishop, it will move like a queen. Ten AI opponents, local two-player, and a quick optional tutorial.

Every trade is a gift

A piece doesn't always have the same value. It's worth whatever movement abilities it has accumulated, and when it falls, the piece that takes it inherits all its abilities.

Trades hand out upgrades, and the board gets sharper as it empties.

Learn it in minutes

Every piece shows its moves as marks in eight directions: one dot is one square, two dots is two, a bar is all the way. A nine-lesson tutorial on a live board teaches the rest.

Coming from chess?

  • Nothing jumps. The knight moves up to two squares in any direction, and can be blocked.

  • No castling, no en passant, no two-square pawn opening.

  • A pawn on the last rank gains one square of movement in every direction, instead of becoming a queen.

  • Kings capture, but never absorb.
