A World of Crates is a collection of 8,700 puzzles that explores a variety of mechanics through the simple act of pushing crates. Study each board, work out how its mechanisms interact, and find a path to the solution. Each compact layout has plenty to think about.

Each puzzle you solve opens a panel, revealing a little more of the diary hidden beneath. Read on and piece together the story of the person who created this game.

Six Rules, Six Ways to Think

• Together — Multiple characters move in the same direction at once. Use walls and crates to get each character into position.
• Sticky — Crates of the same color stick together and move as a group. Move them together, then use walls to separate them.
• Day and Night — Sun crates move only during the day, and moon crates only at night. Use switches to alternate between day and night, planning your routes and the order of your moves.
• Ice — Once pushed, ice crates slide until an obstacle stops them. Position other crates to stop them exactly where you need them.
• Paint — Push colored crates to paint the floor. Each new color overwrites the previous one, so plan your paths and the order in which you paint.
• Pits — Crates placed in pits become part of the floor, opening new paths. Decide which pits to fill first so you can reach every goal without blocking the paths you still need.

Combine the Rules, Explore New Possibilities

The six basic rules come together in 57 different combinations. Once you’re familiar with the individual rules, take on Mixed puzzles that bring multiple mechanics together. Slide a crate onto a switch, or fill a pit to clear a path for another crate. Using one mechanic can change how you approach another.

Experiment and Find Your Own Solution

Try out your ideas freely with unlimited Undo, and use Restart whenever you want a fresh start. Once you’ve solved a puzzle, challenge yourself to finish it in fewer moves. Complete it in the minimum number of moves to earn a Crown.
