Somewhere, Together

A quiet refuge on your desktop, alone or with up to eight travelers. Keep a small, borderless window beside your work, or unwind in full screen. Rest by the fire, listen to nature, and create your own scenery. Free to play.

A quiet place to rest

The fire is warm. The lake is still. There is nothing you need to finish tonight.

Somewhere, Together is a free desktop companion for quiet moments, alone or together. Keep a little refuge in a corner of your screen while you read, study, or work. When you want to take a break, open the scenery in full screen and let the evening unfold at its own pace.

A little refuge beside your work

Make room for a starlit lake or rainy forest on your desktop. Move and resize the borderless game window to fit your workspace, and optionally pin it above your other windows. The scenery can stay nearby while you use other apps.

In small-window mode, chat and settings open in their own windows, so you can read a conversation without covering the scenery. You can close chat and simply enjoy the view, too.

Let the menus gently fade away while you watch. A click or keypress brings them back, and a subtle unread indicator lets you know when a conversation is waiting, even while the menus are hidden.

Find your place for tonight

Watch meteor showers above the Lake of Falling Stars, or listen to the rain from the Rainy Forest Shelter. Both settings are included for free.

Grass sways, stars shimmer, and the fire flickers. By the lake, an occasional falling star gives way to a sky full of light. There is time to notice the little things, and no need to do anything at all.

Alone, or quietly together

Stay on your own, join a public room, or share a private invitation code with friends. Each room holds up to eight seated travelers. When you create a room, you can leave a short note about how you feel and choose its setting. The room owner can change the setting while everyone is there.

Say hello in text chat, or simply share the quiet. Small speech bubbles above the travelers and names in matching cloak colors help you connect the conversation to the people in the scenery.

Make a place of your own

Make a quiet garden, a little village, or a refuge by the sea with scenery creation in the Playtest. Start with 48 built-in props, including trees, flowers, terrain, bridges, cottages, and seaside objects. Place the campfire and eight seats, then choose the sky, weather, and camera views. You can also bring in your own static 3D models in GLB format.

Share your creations through Steam Workshop. Scenery approved for use in the game appears in its Workshop list, where you can download a place to enjoy alone or host a room for up to eight people. Scenery creation and Workshop sharing are being refined during the Playtest.

More places to discover in the Playtest

The Playtest also offers a first look at three settings in development: the Airship Above the Clouds, the Snowfield Observatory, and the Moonlit Lighthouse Coast. Take in the floating islands, watch snow drift across the observatory, and see the lighthouse beam sweep over the sea.

These three additional settings are in development. Their content and availability at full release may change.

Characters stay seated, and there are no objectives, combat, or voice chat. Online features are for ages 14 and up and require an internet connection, Steam authentication, and acceptance of the terms of service. Solo scenery viewing works offline. Take your time and simply enjoy being here.
