Build your own bumblebee nation

Nine months. One hole in the ground. A colony – or nothing.
You are Brumhilde von Hummelbommel. You wake up in February – alone. Find a nesting site, and then you have nine months: gather, brood, build. In November the frost arrives, and only one thing counts: is your colony still standing?

Gather

Fly out and buzz the blossoms. Collect pollen for the brood and nectar as food. Wool, water and Honeygold thalers are waiting to be traded, built with and put to use – and along the way you'll stumble on things you never expected.

Build

Found a new nation in your burrow. Expand the nest chamber by chamber and raise your workers. Every daughter has a mind of her own: send them out, have them stand guard, build and cool the nest.

Survive

Plenty of creatures are after your cargo – from the air, from the water, and one day right at your front door. Weather and hunger wear you down too. Fight back, arm yourself, pull through.

The goal

Bring your colony through the year and fill the pots. Only then will you raise a young queen in autumn – and only she survives the winter.
