Dirtborn: Colony Rising

Dirtborn: Colony Rising is a project of pure passion brought to Steam to give you complete control of your own any colony from the very start.  You'll start with your own master ant, a basic worker who must first dig a tunnel and protect your queen.  It's only you and her to begin what will hopefully soon become a massive family of hundreds!

Dig your tunnels and decide where the nursery will be, where your food will be stored, and where your queen will best be protected as she lays her eggs.  You control every aspect of your game and can give all other ants in your colony orders at any time.  Protect your fortress from enemy colonies, deadly spiders, and swarms of hungry wasps.  As if that isn't enough, rain storms can flood out everything you've worked so hard for and spell a quick demise to you and your empire!

To give you maximum replay-ability, Dirtborn offers up to 4 online players, strangers or friends in a match where the host has control over almost every aspect of the game.  Do you want to just compete for points in a quick 20 minute match or do you want to play for 15 or more hours trying to conquer every other colony, survive a brutal winter, and eventually set off the winged males and virgin queens to mate and start new colonies?

Everything you do in the game is a scored event.  Whether you are feeding the larvae, providing for your queen, killing a beetle for food, or conquering an enemy invasion, your score will tell you how well you've played.  Lasting through the winter without starving, defeating the red ant colonies in their own territory, and setting off your winged males and virgin queens in the ultimate nuptial flight are all victories that will define you.

How good is your organization, commanding officer, and survival skills?  You might have played other games that tested some of these skills, but you've never played a game quite like "Dirtborn: Colony Rising".
