An AI-driven narrative game . No option buttons, no dialogue trees — say anything, and the characters answer like people, remembering every word. They gossip about you, and the story rewrites itself when you stray. Three complete worlds, no two runs alike. Requires your own AI service API key.

What are you actually doing?

Open Inkrift and you are not "reading a story" — you are speaking.

No option buttons. No dialogue tree. You type what you want to say (or hold to speak), and the character answers like a person would. You can probe, lie, stay silent, change the subject mid-sentence — they remember all of it, and they read it through their own judgment of you.

Three worlds, three lives

In Three Kingdoms: East Wind Gambit you wake as a low-born strategist in the middle of the Red Cliffs standoff, working the space between Cao Cao, Sun Quan and Liu Bei. Ten days, nine characters with nine different agendas — one so calculating you stop trusting your own eyes, one who hides his worries in his qin playing, one whose look at you says plainly: I cannot read you. Persuade, provoke, align — but every one of them may be using you.

In The Questioned Heart: One Brush Wrote a Lie you are a questioner, not an inquisitor. No torture — only questions. Ten years ago a forged document destroyed the Shen household; you have to walk back from the death cells to the inner palace, through trembling handwriting, holes in testimony and gaps in the silver ledgers, and try the case with conversation. Eight days, eight suspects with eight secrets — the chief justice, the imperial physician, an assassin, a consort — each waiting for you to ask the one right question.

In The Ember Blossom Pact you are the young lord of the Yaoling Sect. Twelve months, twelve characters with twelve intentions — a cold sword cultivator who shields you without saying so, a sweet alchemist who is sharper than she looks, a gentle archivist whose kindness is one move on a board. Every "I love you" may be a play. Telling the real ones from the calculated ones is your problem.

They will remember you

Not "affection +5" remembering. The kind where you mentioned liking aged tangerine tea three days ago and she actually brews you a cup today. The kind where you lied to him last time, and now there is something careful behind the way he looks at you.

They talk to each other, too. They discuss you, argue about you, repeat what you said into ears that should not have heard it. Your name travels through the cast — people defend you, undercut you, get jealous over you. You live at the centre of a web of relationships, not in a series of isolated chat windows.

Every playthrough is its own

There is no "pick the wrong answer and reload" — because there is no wrong answer. Every path you take leaves a mark you cannot undo, pointing toward an ending that belongs only to you. Want to ignore the main thread to chase the least likely character? Do it. The story notices you drifting, and the outline rewrites itself around you.

Start a new run and you get a genuinely different story — not because you "picked correctly", but because you were a different person.

Inkrift has no "canon answer". Because the dialogue is generated in real time, you can replay the same world forever and never meet the same lines twice.

Your key, your freedom

The game needs an AI API key to drive its character dialogue — and that is deliberate.

You control the cost: with DeepSeek, a full world costs about 3–5 RMB in AI usage, and all three worlds together stay under 15 RMB. No subscription, no lock-in to a service we chose for you. Pay for what you use; use nothing, pay nothing. Point it at a local Ollama model instead and play for free.

You control the data: conversations go straight from you to your AI provider, never through our servers.

You control the choice: DeepSeek (recommended), OpenAI, Anthropic, or a fully offline local Ollama model.

Getting in takes three minutes

① Sign up at the DeepSeek platform → ② create an API key → ③ open the game, paste it in, hit "Test connection". A first-launch wizard walks you through it.
