Found a village and grow it into a living valley, shared by foxes, otters, badgers, hares, humans, elves and dwarves. Run farms, mills and bakeries, raise heirs, hold festivals and meet neighbouring villages. A cosy settlement builder, rich in detail, in a painted storybook style.
Found a village. Raise a family. Hand it all on.
Alderfolk is a cosy settlement builder about a family as much as a town. You start with a handful of settlers in a quiet valley, and the village grows around the family you found: the heir's apprenticeship, the children's paths, and who takes over when the founder steps down.
A village with a thousand small details
Grow grain, mill flour and bake bread. Fish the river and hunt the woods. Build daycare, kindergarten and school for the little ones, manors for families who want more, and an inn for visitors. Every building tells you, in one plain line, what it is waiting for and what would help, and every warning comes with a button that fixes it.
A valley shared by many folk
Woodland folk (foxes, otters, badgers and hares) live alongside humans, elves and dwarves, each with a role in the village.
Festivals, neighbours and a wider world
Light a lookout, send an expedition across the river and find the village over the hill. Celebrate with feasts and festivals, and watch a neighbour warm to you.
Thirteen places to begin
Choose from thirteen villages, each with its own map, and follow the Long Road campaign through the lands beyond.
A narrator for your story
The village's story is read aloud (in English), so you can play with your eyes on the valley.
