It all began with an unknown infection. The number of infected grew rapidly, hospitals became overwhelmed, and the authorities began losing control. Soon, cities descended into chaos, communications went dark, and the last pockets of resistance fell. Civilization collapsed, leaving behind a world where every survivor is responsible for their own future.

A Vast Open World

Explore abandoned cities, farms, and settlements. Search homes left behind by their former inhabitants and scavenge stores for supplies. Build your own shelter, find and repair vehicles to cover long distances, and reach new areas.

Survival

Hunt, fish, and grow your own food. Monitor your character's condition. Hunger, cold, and illness can pose just as much of a threat as the infected.

Survivors and Factions

Encounter peaceful survivors and traders, discover useful goods, and obtain essential supplies. But not everyone in this world is friendly. Armed bandit factions have established bases, defend their territories, and pose a constant threat to anyone who gets too close.

Crafting and Building

Craft tools, weapons, and equipment from materials you find. Reinforce your shelter, set up barricades, and restore abandoned buildings, turning them into places where you can take refuge from the dangers of the outside world.

Character Progression

Develop your skills and make use of your survivor's individual traits. Smart progression will help you overcome challenges more effectively and make the most of the opportunities available to you.

Single-Player and Co-op

Survive on your own or team up with friends. Choose your own approach to survival and decide how to face the dangers of this new world.
