Wabi Is Late

What is this game!?

Wabi Is Late! is a puzzle game where every movement matters. In each level, you start with a set amount of time, and every time you move, the clock ticks down. Your goal is to find out a way to reach the end of the level before the timer ticks down to 0.

Features!

• The main gameplay mechanic aside from movement is jumping! By acquiring carrots, you unlock Wabi's bunny hop, allowing you to jump over a tile into the next!

• Another key feature is waiting! Not very exciting, but sometimes you have to wait so you don't get ran over by a car! Or, in this game, cards and... other antagonistic things.

• As you go along the game, many further powerups and obstacles will appear to both help you and hinder you with reaching the goal. It can turn out to be a bit of a brain-teaser at times.

• Extra accessibility options are also available such as hints, undo buttons and more to make your journey less stressful and more fun! All optional in the game's menus.

Humble beginnings in a GameJam

This game was originally made for the GMTK 2026 GameJam in 4 days with a lot of passion and hard work, and now we're super excited to build a full version for steam! Our game was built on said GameJam's theme of "countdown".

Platforms

The engine used was Unity, pixel art was drawn on Aseprite, and music was made on FL Studio/FamiStudio.
