Taipei, 1994. Behind a corner store, there's a den with no sign on the door.

Read the Market

Every price comes from real order matching. Place a big enough order and you actually move the stock.
TV news flashes keep popping up, the paper lands every morning, and monthly sales, quarterly earnings and ex-dividend dates arrive on schedule. Read K-line charts from 5-minute to monthly.

Finance TV

Twelve TV pundits take turns shouting picks: slamming the desk, trash-talking, guaranteeing it'll go up.
Some are right, some make it up, and one always gets it backwards. Figure out which one yourself.
Or pay one to go on air and pump the stock you're holding.

Brick Phone

Everyone carries a brick phone. Hot tips, pump-together deals, loans, private stock trades: it all takes one call.
Charge for a tip: they only hear which stock after they pay, and whether it's true is up to you.
Call without giving your name to spread fake news, or pose as their broker or mother-in-law and con them.

Losing on the Charts?

Peek at their holdings, cut their phone line.
Plant a story in the paper, or get a TV pundit to talk their stock down.
Get caught, and the whole room knows.

The Back Room

Lost it all? The host can open the casino: Little Mary, the poke board and the lotto. One more shot.
