You are a new employee at Station 4 on Shift 233 where you monitor microseismic sensor readings and log events or dismiss them as noise. As you go further, what starts out as a normal shift slowly reveals a strange presence within the cracks of the earth.
You are at Station 4's microseismic monitoring post, just starting out as a new employee on Shift 233. The only thing you hear for most of the shift is static noise, computer servers running, and the occasional sound echoing throughout the station. Just when you think it's going to be a peaceful shift, you hear something strange.
As an operator, you will:
Adjust bearing and range dials to find incoming event signals
Play back each event's waveform
Log each event as real or dismiss it as noise
Keep the array lights aligned
Read through logs of a previous operator and chat with a colleague named Sam J.
The entire experience is under an hour. You will be left with more questions than answers by the end as to what lies deep below.
