The road out of Windbell Town is waiting. Hero of the Old Save is a nostalgic pixel action RPG about battling monsters, finding equipment, and turning chance meetings into lasting companionship. Head into the wild with room in your bag and a build to try. You know that feeling of “just one more fight”? Make room for it again.

Three classes. Your own way to fight.

Charge into the fray as a Warrior, command fire, ice, and lightning as a Mage, or send piercing shots and arrow rain across the battlefield as an Archer. Learn alternate skill forms, choose four equipped skills, and shape your approach with equipment affixes. Turn a fireball into an explosion or a sword strike into a flying blade. Move, dodge, and make your next opening count.

A good drop is worth the journey.

Explore five regions, from pine woods and red-rock hills to misty wetlands, frozen highlands, and a star-scarred wasteland. Follow a ten-chapter questline to reconnect the routes between them. Seek out elite enemies, enter dungeons, and face formidable bosses. Compare rarities and affixes, enhance your favorite gear, dismantle spare equipment, and reforge the attributes that matter to your build.

X marks the spot. Trouble might, too.

Ordinary treasure maps dropped by monsters point to individual coordinates in their region. Find the spot and dig nearby for coins, equipment, supplies, or fragments—or disturb an elite enemy. Combine five fragments into an Advanced Treasure Map for a chance at stronger equipment and rarer supplies. Just be ready: a pack of monsters, a boss, or even a world boss may be buried with the treasure.

Your old weapon could be someone else’s upgrade.

Get to know NPC adventurers through conversation, shared meals, sparring, and relationship quests. Offer equipment that suits their class, level, and needs, and see them put it to use. Build enough trust to invite eligible companions along. Your next upgrade needn’t end with you; it can help someone who fights at your side.

Build somewhere worth coming back to.

Develop your guild grounds with a forge, herb garden, mining workshop, and storage. Raise guardian creatures, prepare supplies, and take on guild challenges and hunts. Return to town to sort the day’s finds and ready your next expedition. Beyond the next bend are tougher enemies, better loot, and companions whose names are beginning to feel familiar.
