A tiny night market lives right above your taskbar. While you work, the stalls cook, sell and grow on their own. When you have a minute, help out at the stalls, toss a few rings, fill regulars' orders and wait for rare visitors — and watch one candied-hawthorn cart grow into a glowing street.

Tonight, a tiny night market opens along the bottom of your screen.

It starts with a single candied-hawthorn cart. Customers wander in, buy snacks, and the coins roll in by themselves — no restocking, no collecting, no babysitting. While you code, sit in meetings or binge a show, the market quietly does business above your taskbar.

Just leave it running
  • Everything runs itself from the very first minute. Peek whenever you like; it keeps earning while you're away.
  • 12 night-market stalls open one by one along your taskbar — skewers, bubble tea, ring toss, egg waffles, takoyaki, stinky tofu, goldfish scooping, a fortune teller… every upgrade adds lanterns, crates and customers.

When you feel like playing
  • Help out: when the candied-hawthorn, skewer or bubble-tea stall gets busy, lend a hand — click the moment the heat ring turns green. Eight per round, and every perfect round makes the fire burn hotter.
  • Ring toss: one click to drop the ring; every toy you win goes on your prize shelf. 36 prizes over three seasons, and steady hands unlock tougher tables with rarer prizes.

The people of the market
  • Regulars' orders: twelve neighbours keep coming back — a student cramming for exams, an office worker on overtime, a grandma on her evening walk. Fill their orders for Fame, unlock their little stories, and hang their photo on their favourite stall. Orders never expire.
  • Rare visitors: a wandering swordsman, the God of Wealth, the Moon Rabbit, a livestreamer… 20 in all. Follow the clues, set up your street, and they'll find their way to you — once they're regulars, they'll tell you their stories. Anyone wearing a name tag can be clicked to say hi.
  • House specials: swap among 36 specials across 12 stalls — some earn more, some bring Fame, some draw certain customers.

It only gets livelier
  • Lanterns and temple fairs: spend Fame to light lanterns; light them all to throw a temple fair, and each fair hangs a new kind of ornament along the lantern rope. The lion dance comes through, and fireworks go up for your 10,000th and 100,000th customer.
  • Collection and ledger: every visitor, prize, special and regular goes into your collection; the ledger keeps count of the days, the customers served and your busiest stalls.
  • 8 music tracks: switch any time in Settings; a few unlock as you play (fill Fei the Guitarist's orders to hear his song).

Never in your way
  • Transparent background with click-through on empty space.
  • Goes into hiding when you watch a video or play a game in fullscreen.
  • Adjustable street and interface size, any monitor, a boss key — and the coin pouch folds down to just your coins and progress.
