Build software, hire and train a skilled team, research new features, and grow your startup in Hack It Tycoon a management sim where every project, payroll decision, and loan deadline matters.
Turn a small software startup into a name players know
You begin with a modest office, a starting loan, and a decision: what kind of software will you build first? In Hack It Tycoon, you plan products, develop them through focused work phases, grow your skills and team, and try to build a company that can survive long enough to make its mark.
Every app is a project with its own choices. Pick a name, category, platform, and size, then shape how the work is done. Each development phase asks you to focus on different skills. Your choices affect the time, effort, and money a project needs, so decide where to invest before the weeks pass.

Plan the work. Shape the product
A project is more than pressing Start and waiting for a bar to fill. In each phase, assign a character to the work and balance the phase's skill areas. A character's level and specialty affect how well they fit the job. Put more effort into a phase to pursue a stronger result, while keeping an eye on development time and your budget.
As the app takes shape, choose which researched features to include. Features can add development costs and time, but they also change how the product is sold and experienced. Decide whether a simpler release makes sense now or whether your company is ready to invest in a more ambitious app.

Learn, research, and open new possibilities
Your skills improve through use and study. Spend time learning a specialty, send an employee to research, or invest in a new area for the company. Research can open new project options, app features, and business systems, giving you more ways to approach later products.
Choosing what to research is part of running the company. Research costs money and takes time, and the right unlock depends on the direction you want to take your software business. Build toward a specific kind of app, invest in new ways to sell, or improve the tools your company can use.

Build a team that can take on more
You do not have to grow alone. Search for candidates with different specialties, compare their skills and weekly wages, then hire the people who fit your plans. Assign employees to desks and development work, and decide how to use their time across projects, research, and study.
Every hire adds capability and a recurring cost. A larger team can help you move faster and take on more work, but only if the business can afford the payroll. Look for the right mix of skills, keep track of who is free, and make each employee count.

Release your apps and manage the market
When development is complete, publish your app and see how customers respond. Track sales, earnings, subscribers, market share, and reviews. Different products can perform differently over time, so watch each app on the market and decide where to focus your attention next.
Quality matters after release. Bugs affect reviews, and giving an app time can help reduce them. Research can also unlock other ways to sell and support a product, such as subscriptions. Keep improving your portfolio while preparing the next app for development.

Make time work for you
Time is one of your most important resources. Pause when you need to make a decision, or move the calendar at normal, double, or quadruple speed when your plans are in motion. While work progresses, you can study, search for employees, choose research, review the market, and manage your finances.
Start at a difficulty that suits you. Each option gives you a different starting loan, starting advantages, and repayment deadline. Plan your spending, grow your company carefully, and repay the loan before time runs out. If the deadline passes and you cannot pay, the company is at risk of losing everything.

The beginning of a bigger cyber-business sim
The current playable build focuses on software development, research, hiring, and running your business. Company interactions and the hacking game loop are planned for future development and are not playable in the current build yet. The goal is to bring those systems into the same management loop: build your company, make strategic choices, and face the consequences of how you operate.
