A tiny tile workshop that lives above your taskbar. Build belts and machines that press, saw, glaze and inlay ceramic tiles, then fire them in the Kiln. Hover to check in. Get back to work and it keeps firing.

1 Million Tiles is a cozy automation game and desktop companion. It runs in a thin strip above your taskbar, where a small workshop presses, saws, glazes and inlays ceramic tiles and fires them in the Kiln. Hover the bench to check in. Go back to work and it steps aside, still firing.

Build the line

Tile Presses stamp bisque tiles from pattern molds. Saws cut them in half, the Half & Half joins two patterns, Glazers paint them and the Inlayer sets one tile inside another. Belts, splitters, tunnels and lifts carry it all to the Kiln. Every order is a small layout puzzle that fits in a few rows.

Made for the edge of your screen

  • Sits above the taskbar, or along any edge of any monitor

  • Clicks go straight through to your work until you hover the bench

  • Focus Mode slows the motion and holds pop-ups

  • Steps aside for fullscreen apps, and the sound starts off

  • Keeps working while it's closed, then shows you what it made

  • Stops drawing while hidden and slows down when nobody is looking

From a bare bench to an Atelier

Fifty milestones take you from a brick kiln on an empty bench to an Atelier that turns glazed tiles into panels and 4x4 murals. Six patterns and eight glazes, halved, quartered and layered, give you thousands of tiles to chase.

Meet Bisque

The workshop cat wanders the bench, naps on the warm Kiln and purrs when you click her. She stays off your machines. You can hide her in Settings.
